BE Offices roll out refurbishment works across portfolio
BE Offices (formerly Business Environment) have shown faith in demand for high-quality office space by embarking on a mass refurbishment project of their portfolio. This confidence in the market was bolstered by the success of the redevelopment of their business centres in Reading and Wembley; both of which have been quickly filled by large clients including betting giant Ladbrokes.
Managing director David Saul explained in last week’s Property Week that “there is no doubt [that there is] strong demand for quality space whether it is in central London or outside the capital”. He went on to show his intent for major plans in the summer that will “ensure we are providing both existing and potential clients with an unrivalled package of high quality space and service at affordable prices”.
BE Offices’ plans for the summer include refurbishment of 16,300 sq ft of office space at its Threadneedle Street Centre whilst works are already well advanced on their 6,717 sq ft Barbican site. This redevelopment comes a the head of a grand plan to create a state-of-the-art business centre.
According to Saul “The Threadneedle renovation scheme is going to transform this supremely-located building into one of the best working environments of its type in the capital […] this work is a sign of our renewed confidence in London’s commercial property market. The wider economy is looking up at the moment, occupancy rates are at their highest ever, and we can afford to be bold with our portfolio.”
